Gratitude

“Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel
to say your nightly prayer”. Maya Angelou

Giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;     Ephesians 5 v 20
.
How beautiful to our Lord, is the gift of a grateful heart.
A grateful heart is to be more highly prized than jewels.
A grateful heart is to be more fervently sought after than treasure.
A grateful heart is a prism through which the Father’s love
is magnified.
A grateful heart honours God.
Today, may we offer our Lord the gift of our grateful heart.
.
“Can you see the holiness in those things you take for granted–
a paved road or a washing machine? If you concentrate on finding
what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life
will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.”
— Rabbi Harold Kushner
