The Word

“A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs
to someone who isn’t.” ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

sword
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God. Ephesians 6 v 17
When we trust in events and circumstances,
we are standing on shifting sand.
When we trust in the word of our Lord and God,
we have our feet planted on solid rock.
The words of the world are as dependable
as tissues blown in the breeze,
but the word of God will last through all eternity.
Therefore we are encouraged to take up the sharp sword of the spirit,
and declare God’s word in the face of every adverse circumstance,
for the grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God endures forever. Isaiah 40 v 8
