Held in everlasting arms

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
-Elisha A. Hoffman (composer of over 2,000 hymns)

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Deuteronomy 33 v 27a

This is a day for allowing ourselves to feel vulnerable and needy
as we rest securely in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
This is a day to release our cares and concerns,
and know that Abba Father is taking care of us.
As night falls and we look back on the day’s events,
we will be encouraged to see the many signs of God’s intimate care,
woven as a thread of gold throughout the fabric of our day.
We are loved with an endless love, and held in everlasting arms.

  1. We met with attorneys today to begin the process of adoption for one of our little ones. In fact, the little blessing is in my arms right now while I type. He is mimicking me typing…

    ahhh…. LIFE – L – I – F – E in the everlasting arms….

    • Yeah, that little blessing has my whole heart wrapped up in his every cry or coo. But I was thinking I was being God’s arms for him. I am a servant in the House of the Lord. I am not “the man” of the house. My arms are his, really. At least I dedicate them as such.
