Water of life

Izzy (my cat) and I have now relocated. We are like plants
which have been repotted. We are gradually putting down
new roots and showing signs of new growth.
I can truly say, “God has done all things well.”
I give glory to His name.
For now, I am doing one post in the middle of the week.

“Lord I crawled across the barrenness to You with my empty cup
uncertain in asking any small drop of refreshment.
If only I had known You better I’d have come running with a bucket.”
-Nancy Spiegelberg

Shower copy
And the parched ground shall become a pool,
and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of jackals,
where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. Isaiah 35 v 7

Jesus You pour Your living water
over the parched ground of my past.
You pour Your healing balm
across the cheerless desert of my pain.
You elevate me from the valley of my tears
to the mountain of Your joy.
You lift me in Your arms and carry me close to Your heart
for I am precious to You and You love me.
