God’s faithfulness

“Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.”
Thomas O. Chisholm 1923

I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever;
with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness
to all generations.                                  Psalm 89 v 1

I imagine myself standing in  green pastures
while above me fly thousands of banners.
On each banner I see God’s name ‘Faithful One’.
I imagine these banners extending as far as the eye can see.
They remind me of God’s faithfulness to all His children
throughout the ages, and His faithfulness to me His precious child.
Just as He has never left me in the past, He will never leave
me in the future for He is my Heavenly father and He loves me.

During the selling of my home and relocating,
and despite my faith teeter tottering at times,
I experienced God’s faithfulness in many ways
At times I felt almost overwhelmed, but always, without fail
God restored and energized me for the journey.
I am so thankful for the friends who prayed for me at
this time, for the friend who drove 150 k to help me,
for the very kind removalists who went above and beyond,
for my little Izzy who walked seamlessly into her cat carrier
each time we had to leave during open inspections,
for Orlando the gardener from Peru (who said he sees God’s
hand in everything) and for so many other blessings. I know
my Heavenly Father is the source of each and every blessing
which I experienced during this ‘real estate’ journey.
Great is His faithfulness!!!

  1. Thank you for your comment. Yes indeed! Thank God for His faithfulness. This very day I was questioning God about an unanswered prayer, and despite my lack of faith, He gave me an unexpected lovely answer this afternoon.
