Don’t tell God how big your problem is,
tell your problem how big your God is. ~unknown
‘Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth
by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm!
Nothing is too difficult for You, Jeremiah 32 v17
Is anything too hard for God?
Is anything impossible for Him?
Is there any good thing He wouldn’t do to bless His little ones?
Is there any good thing He would withhold from His precious child?
We are encouraged.
We are uplifted by the knowledge that the Lord of love holds us
in the palm of His hand, and with Him all things are possible.
We know that with God all things are possible, but it is not always
easy to believe this for specific situations in our lives.
A few months after moving into my new home, I noticed a very unpleasant
petrol- like smell when the wind was blowing from the south west.
Upon further investigation I discovered that the smell was coming
from a pile of discarded vineyard posts (see photo above) a few metres
away from my back fence. My research tells me that these posts (which
are now being phased out) contain creosote, which is an environmental
pollutant. I asked my prayer partner to help me pray about this situation,
and among other things she said, “You need to see them as gone”.
When she said that, I knew exactly what she meant, and it resonated with me,
so I put my original photo into Photoshop and created a new picture
with the posts removed (see below) . This visual is reminding me that God
is working in this situation, and I am praying for His wisdom to know
what I need to do. It certainly needs God’s intervention to be resolved.
We try and try in our own strength to make things come out right.
We think and plan and organize and try with all our might.
But when we fin’lly reach the bottom, the end of all our rope,
The Lord reminds us once again, “In Me you’ll find your hope.”
